METSIM® Training program 2024 (Europe)

InsPyro is your METSIM® agent in Europe. In 2024 we organize 3 training weeks for new METSIM® users, and also topical trainings on a monthly basis.

Training weeks

In general the program of the training weeks is as described below. Small adaptations can be made to make a better match with the participants interests.

• DAY 1: Getting started with METSIM®
  • Drawing a flowsheet
  • Defining streams and reactions
  • Use of controller
• DAY 2: Comminution
  • Particle size distribution
  • Crushing/screening unit operations
  • Recycle streams
  • Plotting overview tables
• DAY 3: Hydrometallurgical flowsheeting and DDE
  • Leaching
  • Solvent extraction
  • Electrowinning
  • DDE: dynamic data exchange
• DAY 4: Pyrometallurgical flowsheeting and dynamic modelling
  • Smelting reactions
  • Splitters
  • Batch processes/dynamic modelling

When: 25-28/11/2024 (09.30 – 16.00); 10-13/03/2025; 16-19/06/2025

Where: hybrid online-Leuven (Ambachtenlaan 54, 3001 Leuven)

Cost: 600€ per day per person or 2000€ per person for 4 days

2 hour online training sessions dedicated to a specific topic of METSIM® modelling.

• 09/02/2024: Focus on particle size distribution (PSD)
• 15/03/2024: Focus on splitters
• 19/04/2024: Focus on making stream boxes
• 17/05/2024: Focus on compounds
• 14/06/2024: Focus on dynamic modelling
• 20/09/2024: Focus on controllers
• 18/10/2024: Focus on dynamic data exchange (DDE)
• 15/11/2024: Focus on APL statements (cancelled, contact us for update)

Where: online 09.30 – 11.30 (Brussels time)

Cost: Topical trainings are included within your M&S. If your M&S has expired you can also participate at a cost of 250€/person per topical training.
